Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Reasy mobile application ("App") or accessing our website at reasy.io ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Reasy ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

2. Description of Service

Reasy is a check-in application designed to help users stay connected with their loved ones. The Service allows:

  • Users ("Members") to set up regular check-in schedules
  • Members to invite trusted contacts ("Caregivers") to receive notifications
  • Automatic notification delivery to Caregivers when a Member misses their scheduled check-in
  • iOS widgets and push notifications to remind Members to check in

The Service is intended as a communication tool and is not a substitute for emergency services, medical monitoring, or professional healthcare services.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating your account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person through the Service
  • Add Caregivers without their knowledge or consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service without our permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

5. Trusted Contact Relationships

When you invite someone to be your trusted contact:

  • You confirm that you have obtained their consent to receive notifications about your check-in status
  • They will receive email notifications when you miss scheduled check-ins
  • They may receive your location information when you miss a check-in (see Section 6)
  • They can accept or decline your invitation at any time
  • Either party can end the trusted contact relationship at any time

We do not verify the identity or relationship between Members and their invited trusted contacts. You are responsible for ensuring appropriate consent and communication with anyone you invite.

6. Location Data & Sharing

Important

Location data is collected to help your trusted contacts locate you in the event of a missed check-in. This data is only shared when you miss a check-in.

By using the Service with location permissions enabled, you consent to:

  • Collection of your device's location data while using the app
  • Storage of location history for up to 7 days
  • Sharing of your last known location and location history with your trusted contacts when you miss a scheduled check-in
  • Sharing of any important addresses you have saved (home, work, etc.) with your trusted contacts when you miss a check-in

You can disable location sharing at any time through your device settings. If you disable location, your trusted contacts will still be notified when you miss a check-in, but they will not receive location information.

7. Notifications & Reliability

Important Notice

While we strive for reliable notification delivery, Reasy should not be relied upon as your sole means of emergency communication or wellness monitoring.

Notification delivery depends on various factors including:

  • Internet connectivity
  • Device settings and permissions
  • Email service provider delivery
  • Push notification service availability (Apple/Google)

We cannot guarantee that notifications will be delivered immediately or at all. For emergency situations, always use emergency services (911 in the US).

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, content, and functionality, is owned by Reasy and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant that notifications will be delivered successfully or that the Service will meet your requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reasy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Any failure or delay in notification delivery
  • Any actions or inactions by Members or Caregivers based on the Service
  • Any personal injury or property damage arising from the Service

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings. Upon termination:

  • Your account and associated data will be deleted
  • Your trusted contact relationships will be terminated
  • Trusted contacts will no longer receive notifications about you
  • Your location history will be deleted

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
