# Reasy Privacy Policy

> Summary: Reasy collects the minimum data needed to run a check-in service,
> never sells it, shows no ads, and shares your location with your trusted
> contacts only when you miss a check-in.

## What we collect

- **You provide:** name, email, optional phone number, your check-in schedule, and the names/emails of trusted contacts you invite.
- **Collected automatically:** check-in timestamps, device type/OS/app version, push notification tokens, and timezone.
- **We do NOT collect:** health or medical information, your address book, photos or messages, or cross-site browsing history.

## Location data

- Precise location is captured when you check in, and periodically in the background if you grant background location permission.
- Location history is kept for **7 days**, then deleted automatically.
- Location is shared **only** when you miss a scheduled check-in — your trusted contacts then receive your last known location, recent location history, and any important addresses you saved.
- Location is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared outside your designated trusted contacts.
- Disable location permissions any time in device settings; missed check-in alerts still work, just without location context.

## How data is used

Solely to run the service: manage your account, schedule and track check-ins,
send reminders, notify trusted contacts on missed check-ins, provide support,
and fix bugs. No advertising, no profiling.

## Sharing

- **Trusted contacts** see your display name and check-in status; on a missed check-in they also get location context and last check-in time — never your email or phone number.
- **Service providers:** Firebase (Google) for auth/database/functions, SendGrid for email, Apple/Google for push delivery.
- **Legal:** disclosure only if required by law or to protect safety.

## Storage, security, retention

Data is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase) encrypted at rest, transmitted over
TLS. Check-in history is kept up to 90 days, location history 7 days, and all
data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

## Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, portability, and consent withdrawal — most of it
directly in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). GDPR and CCPA

for anyone under 18.
